The Five Brothers
Composed in April 2010, this marimba suite is an exploration of the different facets of human personality. Through five movements, each inspired by an emblematic animal, the contrasts and complexities of our nature are reflected. This work is a musical journey through the different moods and emotions that define us as human beings.

Synopsis
Each movement presents its own technical complexity on the marimba, requiring great skill and expression in its execution. The use of hands or the employment of chopsticks add an additional layer of depth and texture to the music, allowing the performer to explore the versatility and sonic expression of the marimba
I. Extrovert: Like a dolphin. Always on the move, playful, and sociable. And their energy and enthusiasm are contagious.
II. Meditative: Like a turtle. Calm, serene, and reflective. Turtles are known for their ability to live in the present and enjoy the moment, and their calmness and wisdom are inspiring.
III. Furious: Like a jaguar, powerful, intense, and passionate. Jaguars are known for their strength and determination, and their ability to defend what is theirs is formidable. Don't underestimate them, as their anger can be devastating.
IV. Introvert: Like an owl, silent, observant, and reflective. Owls are known for their ability to see in the dark and hear what others can't, and their wisdom and introspection are profound.
V. Passionate: Like a condor, powerful, free, and passionate. Condors are known for their ability to soar high and see from a broad perspective, and their passion and dedication are inspiring.
